Al Palmento b&b is in the Main Square of Galati Mamertino, in Nebrodi Park: an island within the island!
Located in the north of Sicily, this is the right place for Slow Tourism holidays, far from the everyday hustle and bustle of cities. A simple and welcoming region overlooking a valley that boasts a surreal view of the Aeolian Islands (Lipari, Salina and Filicudi).
In Galati Mamertino time seems to have stopped ticking for the ancient food traditions: bread is prepared with sourdough (“lievito madre”) and baked in wood-fired ovens, good wine is produced and the famous “Tuma Primo Sale” cheese. Here you can taste traditional cuisine sourced from the Nebrodi National Park: the black pig, the maccheroni rolls (fresh pasta rolled within layers of aubergine and sprinkled with salty ricotta), Mutton barbecue
This food is a souvenir to all those who came to spend their holiday at our place.
